A new
FlexNet-Digi / F6FBB-BBS system has been added and is now
operational on the Eastnet North Eastern States FlexNet
Network. The FlexNet-Digi call is KB3BIU and the BBS call
is KB3BIU-4.
The KB3BIU system is located at Brackney, Susquehanna
County, PA. It's service area is the very northern area
of the Northeastern Pennsylvania region and the
Binghamton area of the Southern Central New York region.
KB3BIU is the club call of the Lackawanna County Amateur
Radio Emergency Service Association. Trustee Bob, WA3LWR.
The Sysop is Alex, N3NMN.
The 1k2 User access port 0, ssid-2 is operating on 145.03
MHz.
The current Network port 1 is operating on the 1k2 NEPA
223.54 MHz.
Region channel with connectivity to the WA3LWR Flex-Digi
at Scranton, PA and the soon to be new WB2VPY Flex-Digi/BBS
at Elmira, NY. For an interim period of about two months,
KB2FAF at Cortland, NY will also operate on this channel
providing connectivity into the upper CNY Region.
Now under construction at KB3BIU, WA3LWR and KB2FAF are
two new
UHF 9k6 dedicated links KB2BIU<>WA3LWR at Scranton,
PA and KB2BIU
<> KB2FAF at Cortland, NY The new 9k6 dedicated
links are an effort to provide fast connectivity between
the existing Northeastern States main Flexnet network
with a new currently isolated Flexnet network of several
new FlexNet-Digi systems now operational in the Syracuse
area of the CNY Region. They are: KB2FAF Cortland, N2MKH
Syracuse, K2JFK Clay, K1YHR Pennellville, K2QQY Fulton
and others scheduled for conversion or under construction.
