"Dateline 27 June 2002:
After almost a year of down time, the node site at Orange
CT has been
fully repaired.
The major problem at the site was a failed Z-80 CPU in
the 223 port's TNC. All radios were checked for frequency-deviation-sensitivity
and power
while we were there. (The UHF rigs were found almost 5
KHz off channel!)
In addition, the site was converted to FlexNet, with the
callsign of
W1HAD 0-6. (site had been K1EIC-2 on the 2 meter port,
and K1EIC-12 on
the 233 port) (W1HAD 0-15 at Shelton CT has been changed
to W1HAD 7-8.)
Of course "Murphy" struck twice during the
initial changover, an
Interrupt conflict for one port which was fixed by a
second visit,
followed by an utility power failure for the entire site
a few days later!
Site is now stable. Good work by all..."
